Vehicles
Managing your fleet's trucks in WinTrack — adding, editing, binding an Afaqy device, live tracking status, and the map.
The Vehicles section covers your fleet's trucks. Here you manage each vehicle's data, bind its tracking device, and follow its location and status live.
Vehicle ≠ Trailer
A vehicle in WinTrack means a truck only. A trailer is a completely separate model with its own statuses. Do not confuse them when adding.
Adding a vehicle
From the vehicles page, click + Add vehicle. The main fields:
- WinTrack number — the vehicle's internal operating number.
- Plate number and registration data.
- Type, model, year.
- Tracking info: the Afaqy device IMEI — if entered, the vehicle starts reporting location, speed, and ignition.
- Financials and depreciation: purchase value, date, salvage value, useful life.
Live tracking (Afaqy)
When a device IMEI is bound to the vehicle:
- A "Tracking" column appears in the list with a colored status dot:
- 🟢 Moving — in motion right now.
- 🟡 Idle — ignition on, not moving.
- ⚪ Parked — ignition off.
- ⚫ Stale — no update received for a while.
- ○ No device — no IMEI bound.
- Data refreshes every few minutes through the Afaqy integration.
- Details (speed, odometer, last position, satellite count) appear on hover.
No device ≠ breakdown
A vehicle with no bound device shows "no device" — that does not mean it is broken. Bind the IMEI from the edit modal to enable tracking.
Fleet map
The fleet map page shows every vehicle on a single map:
- Pins are colored by tracking status (moving / idle / parked...).
- Filter by contract and route.
- Pins rotate to show heading.
- Click a pin to jump to the vehicle's detail.
Grouping and filtering
Vehicles can be grouped via asset groups (region, client, project...). On the vehicles page:
- Group filter — show the vehicles of a specific group.
- Grouped view — collapse vehicles under their groups.
Financials
Each vehicle carries depreciation inputs and recurring fixed costs (insurance, registration, periodic inspection, operation card). The running cost (= annualized fixed costs + annual depreciation) is computed and shown in the fleet reports.
